The price, in one line

The Sacred Valley Classic costs US$30 per person and covers the Taray viewpoint, Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. The Sacred Valley VIP costs US$32 and adds Moray and Maras to Chinchero, Ollantaytambo and Pisac. Both prices already include pickup at your hotel in downtown Cusco, tourist transport, a bilingual guide and the buffet lunch in Urubamba.

The only thing that changes the total

The restaurant. Rustica comes included; if you prefer 14 Inkas, Don Angel or Tunupa, you pick it at booking and the price adjusts in the same payment. Entrance tickets to the archaeological sites are always separate, on this and on any other valley tour.

Transparency

Why US$30 and not US$25?

You will find Sacred Valley tours online for around US$25. The route is almost always the same; what changes is what is left out of the price. Before comparing, ask whether the cheaper one includes:

Buffet lunch in Urubamba. Many exclude it or swap it for a set menu; paying for it yourself costs US$8 to 12.
Pickup at your accommodation. Cheap offers usually ask you to meet at a downtown point instead of collecting you at your hotel.
A licensed guide. A guide registered with GERCETUR has a cost that informal tours simply skip.
A small group. The cheapest departures carry 25–30 passengers; ours carry 17–18 at most.

Our US$30 covers all of that. If you only need transport between sites, cheaper options may suit you. If you want the whole day handled, this is what it really costs.

The Sacred Valley Classic from US$30 and the Sacred Valley VIP from US$32 per person, with the buffet lunch at Rustica. With another restaurant: 14 Inkas US$34 / US$36, Don Angel US$45 / US$46 and Tunupa US$50 / US$52 (Classic / VIP).

Tours advertised from around US$25 usually cut something: the lunch, the hotel pickup, the licensed guide or the group size. Our price includes pickup in downtown Cusco, transport, a licensed bilingual guide and the buffet lunch in Urubamba. On any tour, entrance tickets are extra.

No. The tourist ticket is paid separately on both itineraries and, on the VIP, so is the Maras salt mines entry. They are paid in cash in soles on the day, or added at booking depending on the option.

No. The variant that ends in Ollantaytambo, designed for the Machu Picchu train, costs exactly the same as the standard route.

It depends on group size: US$140 per person for two, US$120 for three to four, US$100 for five to seven and US$90 for eight to twelve travellers, with lunch at 14 Inkas included.
