Sacred Valley Classic Tour: Taray, Pisac and Ollantaytambo
The Sacred Valley Classic is the classic route, done properly. You open the day with the view from the Taray viewpoint and climb the terraces of Pisac. Lunch is in Urubamba, then the fortress of Ollantaytambo and a closing afternoon in Chinchero.
We leave Cusco at 07:20 and get back around 18:30. That is about 11 hours, with more time at each stop than on the VIP route and without such an early start.
It is the better choice with children or older travellers, or simply if you want a calmer pace. It leaves out Moray and Maras, which sit up on the plateau and stretch the day considerably.

First stop, with the whole valley in view, the Vilcanota river below and the terraces beyond.
Pisac archaeological site
Terraces hanging over the valley and the religious sector with the Intihuatana. Then a stop at the craft market.

Andean food halfway through the day. Included in the price.
Ollantaytambo
Inca fortress, Temple of the Sun and a town of cobbled streets. Last stop of the day: from here there is no drive back to Cusco.
Tour ends in Ollantaytambo
We drop you in town, a few minutes from the train station. From there you carry on to Aguas Calientes on your own.
